I didnt realise how long it has been since I last wrote so thought I should pop in an update. The weather has been unbelievable and so has completly drained any energy that I had. Steve is still working hard , Josh is still growing fast and Jesse is still struggling to feed.
We did have our cour day last week and although we missed the hearing (we got lost in the courts and no one could understand what we wanted and our lawyers cell phone was off)Jesse's adoption was approved. It was amazing how smoothly things went this time with a competant lawyer.
We havent really been doing much eles recently , although it feels like there is still not enough time in any day!!
Here are a couple of photos of Jesse with my sister and my dad.

To all biological and adoptive Mums and Dads ,
this is a note that I put on an adoption group that I belong to but felt like I wanted to share it with all of you. I know it sounds soppy but it is how both Steve and I feel very stongly so here it is :
"Hi, we are back from NZ and looks like loads has been going on since
we left. To all the new members my husband and I are living in Taiwan
and have been really lucky to adopt two sons from here, actually we
have adopted our eldest a few years ago and are in the process of
adopting our youngest now , our court date is July 11th.
I want to let everyone know that I am sure there is post adoption
depression (for some of us) and that it is ok to feel it. My youngest
son is six and a half months and I was at his birth and he came
directly to us as we live here. He has struggled with feeding and
sleeping since approx 2 1/2 months old as he was milk protien
intollerant (apparently very common with asian children) and was only
diagnosed in may thanks to another member of this group coming to
visit (thanks so much Lucia and Adam). I have now spent three weeks
home in NZ learning about behaviour , feeding and sleeping patterns
(Jesse is our second son but our first baby)
It has been a really stressful time for us not knowing what the
problem was and then knowing but still not back to "normal". I
struggled with the fact that 1. I am 38 and should know how to raise a
baby and 2. that I adopted so didnt feel that I was entitled to feel
emotional and "slightly depressed" as I had planned this baby for so
long and was so lucky to have him.
Anyway just to let you all know we are back in Taiwan Jesse was
feeding and sleeping great in NZ but went straight back to bad habits
after we arrived and is only now starting to feed more now. But you
know after all the stress dramas and crying I am happy to say I am a
real mum with real feelings and it is ok to have felt like this (and
it didnt mean that I loved him any less)
So anyone who has been lucky enough to bring their children home , it
is ok to feel hopeless at times ..... its "normal"
Im not sure if anyone can understand what I am trying to say , but
just thought it was important to say"
